The semi recess vanity unit is the most widely specified commercial vanity solution. The basin sits partially set into the worktop, creating a clean, professional finish with the practical benefit of easy basin access and straightforward replacement when required.
Aquastar manufactures semi recess vanity tops and bases in two hardwearing materials. 13mm CGL (Compact Grade Laminate) is a solid, homogeneous board that is fully waterproof and highly impact-resistant. Self-edged in black, it is available in a wide range of colours, wood effects, stone finishes and metallics. 18mm MR MDF (Moisture-Resistant postformed MDF) is a cost-effective alternative with a smooth, post-formed edge profile and a moisture-resistant core, suited to washrooms where full waterproofing is not required.
All units are bespoke made to your dimensions and your choice of sink. Provide us with your sink specifications and we will manufacture the worktop opening to suit precisely. Units are supplied pre-drilled and ready to fit, with comprehensive fitting instructions included.

Most standard and semi-recessed ceramic, vitreous china and composite basins are compatible. If you are supplying your own sink, send us the full sink dimensions and we will manufacture the worktop cutout to suit it exactly.
CGL is a solid laminate board that is fully waterproof, highly impact-resistant and available in the widest range of decorative finishes. MR MDF has a moisture-resistant core but is not fully waterproof; it is a more cost-effective option for drier environments. For washrooms subject to regular splashing or steam, CGL is the stronger specification.
Yes. We supply a matching base unit in the same material and finish to create a co-ordinated installation. We can also advise on the most efficient layout for concealing pipework within the base.

Yes. All Aquastar vanity units are pre-drilled before despatch and supplied with comprehensive fitting instructions. Tap hole positions can be agreed at the point of order.
